United Kingdom, London, August 27, 2010¬ - New figures from Dubai International have revealed the airport is welcoming record numbers of visitors.
Dubai International handled a total of 4.3 million passengers in July compared to 3.7 in July last year – an increase of 4.3 per cent. It is the first time the airport has handled more than four million passengers in a single month.
So far, traffic in 2010 has reached 26.9 million and is 16 per cent higher than at the same point in 2009, a year on year increase of 14.3 per cent.In particular, there has been strong growth in passenger numbers from Eastern Europe and Asia. However, traveler volumes remain highest from Western Europe as holidaymakers opt for flights to Dubai on a regular basis.
